HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2002--Shaffer
Solutions Corporation (SSC) announced the release of their new
DiskAccess "Lite" product today. This newest addition to the AccessNFS
software suite, which was originally developed 10 years ago, is based
on their industry-proven NFS Client product DiskAccess. Both of these
products provide core NFS connectivity for Windows clients that require
access to UNIX/Linux and other non-Windows data. However, DiskAccess
Lite is designed for customers who do not require the added functionality of
the advanced connectivity utilities found in the full-featured client package.
With this new product offering, SSC continues to expand and tailor
their product line to the changing needs of their customers and the IT
market as a whole. SSC's Chief Operations Officer Randal Sellers adds,
"As the IT market continued to change dramatically over the past year,
we felt we needed to further customize our product line accordingly.
Offering a "lite" version of our NFS Client gives our users more
flexibility with price and functionality."
DiskAccess Lite is tightly integrated with the Windows Operating
System and allows the use of familiar Windows syntax for accessing NFS
resources on the non-Windows servers within the network. Command line
tools are also supplied for allowing easy access to configuration
options and mounting NFS resources via batch files or login scripts.
