Licensing types
Single vs.
Floating (Network) Licenses: Single licenses are tied to the PC and come with 2 back-up registrations for future computer upgrades. Network licenses are concurrent (floating) and can be installed on any number of machines on the network. The license is self-monitoring (no license server is needed).
How Many Licenses Do I need? When you have 6 or more machines on which X-Win32 needs to be used, you can reduce the cost per seat by 10-50% with the concurrent license system. Example: If you need X-Win32 on 50 machines, but only 30 people will use X-Win32 at one time, you should buy a 33-user license: (30 plus a 10% buffer). This reduces the cost per seat by 35 percent |
